After driving about 12+ hours to arrive, I was kind of beat to put it lightly.  It was not the drive down, but the last 2 hours that hit me hard.  Everyone is going to the beach, there is road construction and I needed to recall which road to drive on but my memories of long ago had since dissolved so wit was me, and my Garmin.  We arrived at the Crown Reef Resort, moved through check-in swiftly and learned that you could prepare your own foods in room for the next morning or let the Crown Cafe fill your belly before you hit the beach.  The Crown Cafe is located on the 3rd floor of The Crown Reef Resort it will have you seeing pink! Are you ready to eat great foods like fried potatoes, sausage and gravy, waffles, pastries, fresh fruit and eggs? If you answered yes, The Crown Cafe is waiting to fill you up, but never slow you down so you can get yourself and the kids off to the beach and pool. Check-In to the The Crown Reef Resort and stay parked for the rest of your stay as you can enjoy dining, entertainment, and everything you need in one location!

The Crown Cafe will have you seeing pink for certain because the windows are PINK, tinted pink that is, talk about seeing life through rose colored glasses I saw it through rose-colored windows.  Take a look for yourself.

This on it’s own is worth coming to see, but the food is another reason that my kids kept waking up to go back each morning. I did not have to drive, nor did I have to prepare food, it was right on the resort property. If you see this, you are very close to the Crown Cafe, but you have to see it from above, not below  or you are not close!

Now that you know where you are headed, let me give you a little inside scoop. Remember Mary I introduced you to? She will be there to greet you with coffee and a smile. You head in and seat YOURSELF, there is not currently a sign to tell you this but after one stop there you learn, just sit, they will find you and fill your cup. There are bathrooms in the Crown Cafe if you need them, which is nice to know when you have kids with you. From the cafe you can see the check-in building across the street and greet the new day!

This is your seating and my one suggestion to you is to eat either before 9 or after 10 as this is the busiest time. Now if you get there and they are very busy, don’t despair, you could take food with you. Mary won’t let you walk away hungry, this I know! You can also eat at the counter, so there are plenty of options.

Here is the food, I know you were waiting to see, all well set up, and delicious.  People were scooping it up by the plateful, and eating every last morsel so YOU know it is good.  I also happen to know that Mike(remember meeting him in my other article) makes sure there is always something creative, delicious and wonderful waiting for you when he works with his individual staff Chefs. The Chef at the Crown Cafe is Al Bellamy and he makes a mean omelet!

Just because we are all sleepyheads while traveling does not mean the staff is.  I was in there at 7am in the morning to find 6 pots filled with coffee and a buffet brimming with food!  Of course one of the patrons had to say, “you don’t photo food, you eat it!” I think I knew that, but what about all of you, did you know you can dine at a breakfast buffet right on resort property? Very important to know when you are tired, traveling and just wanting one location to do it all! Park your car once and never leave your resort location! crown reef, crown reef resort, crown cafe, food, breakfast, dining, buffet, third floor, breakfast food, easy access, third floor, kids, family, vacation

I want you to know that if you tell Mary your kids have food allergies or if you have them, she makes sure she gets it right and she also remembers who you are and what foods you eat, after only ONE time there.  I went back day after day and almost forgot cereal for my little son, and she said, “what about for my baby, what is he eating, his cereal?”  Mary makes the Crown Cafe kick and a pleasure to dine at while the chef

Roll out of bed, pack your beach bags, and worry about nothing else, the Crown Cafe is waiting to fill your belly and keep you on an easy path for a fun vacation.  Don’t get out of bed and reach for the car keys, you have to drive no where else, your resort has a great restaurant for breakfast and you need to try it, and wouldn’t it be nice to see life through rose colored windows?  Check out the Crown Cafe, 3rd floor, Crown Reef Resort, you can’t miss it, just look on the outside of the building for the rose colored windows or on the inside of the hallways for the Shell Cabana, of course you could always follow your nose!
