GET YOUR GROOVE ON WITH A PORTABLE SPEAKER

Putting a sound system into your home can cost mega bucks, but that is not an option for me!  To me, music is uplifting, podcasts are smart, and news is enlightening and often entertaining.  I love sound(possible because of 3 kids always chirping in my ears)and  I want to be surrounded in sound all the time, everywhere I go!  Toting my phone around and listening to it with ear buds is great if I am in Dr’s office but when I am home, upstairs, downstairs, outside, inside, anywhere I want to listen OUT LOUD!  Cords are annoying and appliance movement gets on my nerves.

I love music, I love to dance around when I am doing ‘chores’ or cooking and I love being able to hear my music no matter where I am .  I don’t like having to keep earplugs in because that means carrying a device that needs tucked into my pocket or wires running on my side getting in my way! My kids love to rock out no matter where we are: outside, in the basement, upstairs, they love music! As with anything, I look, and look until I seek out what I think is a great purchase and then I share it with you.

I recently got to test out the HMDX Jam Bluetooth® Wireless Portable Speaker to see if it would Rock My World and this little piece of technology will rock your world!

WHAT IS THE HDMX Jam  Bluetooth® Wireless Portable Speaker?

This is a speaker the sizes of your hand, that you can tote anywhere, to any room, closet, or place that you travel to and it will blast the music out of it via your  Bluetooth® device that is synched with it.

Alright in English: if you have almost any smart-phone, tablet, music player, and PC, anything that is  Bluetooth® compatible(can accept transmission wirelessly from device A to device B)  this speaker will bring the music, podcasts, phone calls, or whatever you choose to life!

I was kind of mystified when I first heard someone talking about Bluetooth® Technology but it is pretty straight forward.  Somewhere on the ‘SETTINGS’ of your devices(iPhones, Cell Phones, tablets, etc.) there is a function that states ‘Bluetooth®’, you simply need that switched to ‘enabled’ or ‘on’ to make your music come to life, podcasts or whatever it is you want to listen to OUT LOUD!  Bluetooth® allows electronic devices of all sorts to communicate wirelessly! Often there is a limit to range that you can move from with respect from wireless device A to wireless device B.   This has nothing to do with WiFi. I always think of  Bluetooth® as the technology used in movies before it was available.  Think of Charlie’s Angels telephone box, except this speaker so much smaller and practical!

THE HDMX Jam  Bluetooth® Wireless Portable Speaker

The package arrived, I opened it up, got my cell phone out, slid the switch to ‘on’ on the bottom of the Jam  Bluetooth®Wireless Speaker and then chose the  Bluetooth®  option on my cell phone.  My cell requested  Bluetooth® Pairing Passcode.  This pass-code makes wireless item A(my cell phone) synch(work with) wireless item B(the Jam Bluetooth Wireless Portable Speaker).  I entered the passcodeI(which was on the lid of the container the Jam Bluetooth® Wireless Speaker came with), the phone and the speaker synched and I went to my iHeart Radio app and began to select music.

THE HDMX Jam  Bluetooth® Wireless Portable Speaker rocked! My kids came running and began dancing and singing and the party began.  I changed stations and the music just continued to play, no headphones, no distortion, just music.  This whole process took less than 2 minutes to complete.

TESTING OUT THE DISTANCE OF THE SPEAKER

I wanted to see if I could put music on, leave the room with my cell phone and leave the speaker there, so the kids could continue to enjoy the music.  I went from upstairs to my downstairs, and I separated my phone from the THE HDMX Jam  Bluetooth® Wireless Portable Speaker and it continued to play.  The fact that I traveled downstairs did not affect the speaker or the playing.. The THE HDMX Jam Bluetooth® Wireless Portable Speaker has the transmission power of up to 30′! I changed the station we were listening to, and it did so effortlessly.  The music continued to play and the kids kept on dancing, and I felt them as the floors rocked above me!

This is definitely a 2 thumbs up.  The music emanates from the top of this speaker.  The whole HDMX Jam  Bluetooth®Wireless Portable Speaker fits in the palm of my hand and it comes in 6 great colors, mine is Strawberry!

WHY WOULD YOU WANT A HDMX JAM Bluetooth® WIRELESS PORTABLE SPEAKER?

The sound quality is incredible and it allows you the freedom to not be bound up by wires and a device on your body! You can rock with the music and it is easily connected via a Bluetooth® portable speaker and there are no wires.  The speaker will work separated from the device it is synched up to thirty feet away(yes it does work, because I tried it over and over) .

The portable speaker is great because it works with all  Bluetooth®-enabled devices.   The battery is a Lithium-ion rechargeable battery for up to 4 hours of wireless play so you do not have to keep buying disposable batteries(think saving money).  If you don’t like the color Red(Strawberry) there are 5 other colors, like  Apple (green), Apricot (orange), Blackberry (grey), Blueberry (blue), and Grape (purple) you can express yourself with color!  This is really a small speaker that produces large sound, so small it fits in the palm of my hand, it is only 2.5″ x 2.5″ x 2.5″.

HOW TO CHARGE

Charging this is not rocket science, it is a matter of plugging in 1 cord from the speaker into your computer, and letting it sit there for 3 hours to accept a complete charge.  The Micro USB needed for charging comes with this speaker.  You can also use an AC adapter with a USB jack if you have one, it is not included.

The battery will last for you up to 4 hours when it is working wirelessly.  If you the battery to last for up to 12 hours, you can connect it through an Aux-In Audio Jack.

HOW TO USE:

Make sure in your settings you have Bluetooth® enabled.  Turn the power on the HDMX JAM  Bluetooth®WIRELESS PORTABLE SPEAKER to ON(The ‘ON’ Button is located on the bottom of the speaker.  When you switch it on, it will  make  a  ’bleak’  noise)  If you have used it previously and entered the pairing code, you will not need to do this again, if you have not, enter the pairing code, located on the lid of the shipping container product is in(or look on the bottom of the device).  Select what you want to listen to, music, podcast, etc. and go with it!  You can turn the volume up or down on the  the speaker or on your wireless device as well.

HOW TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON WITH YOUR UNIT

There is an indicator light on the unit.  It will flash RED when the battery is low, RED solid when charging, and Green when charged.  Where the Bluetooth® indicator is, it will do a quick blue flash to let you know it is ‘pairing’, a slow blue flash when it is connected with the other device, and RED when it is in LINE-IN mode.
