Do you brew coffee each day? Do you throw your grinds out? S-T-O-P throwing those grounds out because they have an afterlife that will liven up things around your house!
I have many plants in my home, and in these plants is just plain old dirt, but my mom reminded me to stop throwing those grinds out! We had just brewed a KCUP and my mom commented what a waste to just throw it out, so instead she said, “Dana, take that over to the plant and mix it into the dirt, I did as she suggested and I continued this process for the last month, what a difference, acidic loving plants will enjoy. My plants are loving this process, I am loving it because I am not just throwing out the grinds, they have a second life! The plants look greener and the leaves look perkier.
It was also suggested that the oily mess in some pans might come clean if I offered them some coffee grinds. I tried this and the grease disappeared without scratching.
There are many uses for coffee grinds and it is great to use them because it all makes a difference to our Earth! If you have thrown grinds down your disposal, here is a way to clean up your drain from the dumping.
