I love the Halloween Parties before the Halloween and so do my children. There is nothing quite as fun as getting to do ‘dress rehearsal’ before the big day. Festive music, pumpkin painting, candy-eating, and junk food all seem to play into this some way or another.
Last evening, getting ready to get into the spirit of Halloween, the kids and I joined Giant Eagle for a special Halloween Party at their Corporate Offices. Music, baked goods, Giant Eagle Pizzas, Candy, Pumpkins and ghosts, goblins, skeletons, pirates and more joined in on all the fun.
As we walked into corporate we could smell the scent of fresh baked pizza wafting in the hallway and the kids just kept saying that they could not wait to eat. Greeted by Pirates, Skeletons and Cowboys we entered the room and grabbed a seat for a night full of Halloween fun: Magic, Music, A Balloon Artist and plenty of great Giant Eagle Food!

Very little preparation on your part and a great, quick meal can be created by adding: cut up fresh broccoli and baby but carrots (also on sale) with ranch dressing for dipping and possibly round it out with the Itty Bitty Cupcakes (Salty Caramel flavor) from the Giant Eagle Bakery! A delicious, easy way to prepare a meal for your family with very little effort.

How does Giant Eagle Pizza taste: I offer it to my family regularly and I would gladly put it against any of the name brand frozen pizzas. The collection boasts, thin and thick crust, brick oven square, meat, meatless and more. The sauce is basic, there is not too much or too little, and the seasoning is good, the crust is crispy(when prepared right, we use parchment paper) and the kids eat it without question!

I happened to stumble into a brand I really had not seen when I am whipping through the store trying to beat the clock, but it definitely has my attention now as I consumed it heartily last evening.

While you may shake your head and say nope to this thought…… I honestly can say, if I make this pizza at home for myself, I am CONSUMING the entire pizza MYSELF. It is thin crust and the size lends itself to eating. The entire box consumed would not be more than 870 calories and each calorie would be worth the taste! Dr. Oetker Ristorante Pizza was THAT good! A Hamburger French Fry Combo will cost you more calories than this pizza!

We actually ate the Itty Bitty Cupcakes, Salty Caramel flavor last night. I am not sure if you have the will power to hold back after eating one, because honestly, one is not enough!! I think you will be hiding the container from the kids! Sweet vanilla with a rich icing and a center filled with caramel topped with salt it is like a small piece of heaven in the palm of your hand and my daughter kept eating them!(umm so did I) This week they are on special at the GE Bakery! A must for any gathering!
