Oh the days of youth gone by, I miss my Perfectly toned skin, my firm everything and honestly I am not that old but the difference between skin of a youth and skin of a lady, is really different. My daughter can rock her clothes, but my clothes rock me to the core, as I look at them in a mirror. Make no mistake, I am not out of shape, but time and gravity are pulling in all the WRONG places and I plan to FIGHT it all the way! Well, maybe!
I looked up a site called Silicon Body. I wanted to see what I could do to help my clothes lay better, make them display better and make them keep things put! What I found is a whole line of ‘helpers’ to get everything from your booty to your ‘boobie’ right! Laugh as you may, call me shallow, it seems almost too good to be true, so let’s take a look at what I got and if it really met the challenge! The site boasts everything from Booty helpers to Booby, for HIM and HER!
After watching a special on the evening news I see that my thoughts are actions are more like most than not. I could not believe the ‘Corset’ story they were running and how thin waist lines were becoming because of Corsets and slimmers, however, my intention here was just to bring about more shape. I am not into compression, just looking right in my clothes.
I got what is known as a TUMMY SHAPER VEST. Since losing over 65 pounds my tummy is my hardest area to really get toned, so I work on it diligently, but again, gravity, and age are working against my attempts! I ordered this Waist Shaper Vest to help cinch my waist and provide enhancement and rid any ‘rolls’.
A FEW THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
This shaper has compression to it, which means it is squeezing when you put it on, it is a ‘bit’ uncomfortable in that respect and it absolutely takes a bit to get used to.
The material is VERY soft, and unbelievably light against the skin. There are no rough edges on the Waist Shaper.
It is very hard to put on yourself if you have any type of chest as you have to actually hook each piece all the way up, 18 hooks to be exact. You will need help because fastening up the front is a bit of a challenge. It is doable alone, but plan on it taking about 15 minutes because as much as I tried— that was as fast as I could get.
The results are AMAZING, but have led me to 2 conclusions: 1) it is time to lose the last 15 that I need to get rid of because I am tot willing to fasten this up each day to get the ‘thin on’ I need under those more form fitting shirts and 2) I can’t believe that these are worn every day comfortably. Don’t get me wrong, it is not the product. When I have the Waist Shaper on it is amazing how my mid waist looks, I love it, but the compression is a bit much to feel when breathing in and out.
You also may want to know that this is worn over your favorite bra and that the LADIES are not IN the Waist Shaper they ride above it. Something I really did not understand at the beginning. This makes a HUGE difference when you are attempting to put it on for the first time!!!
WHY WOULD YOU GET ONE OF THESE?
I have to tell you, the look on~ ROCKS. It absolutely brings all the ‘fat’ to one place and makes it ‘tight’. The look is dramatic. If you have tighter fitting shirts that you want to look RIGHT without rolls, or you want to rock a dress, this is the piece you need.
ABOUT THE WAIST SHAPERS
The sizes however, only run from S-L. If you follow the website, you will truly get the RIGHT fit and the piece will fit when it gets to your home.
The hooks have 3 levels of possibilities just like a bra, so you can be as SNUG or as LOOSE as you choose.
The shoulder straps are adjustable and DO NOT DIG.
The material is soft and pleasant to feel against the skin.
The site is reliable and ships quickly. My waist shaper was here in about 2 days from start to finish.
OVERALL
While I don’t think I could wear this on a daily basis because of the compression it is wearable. It absolutely changed the way my shirts looks(the more form fitting ones). In addition, it has actually created me to kick into high gear and rid my body of that last 15 I have been thinking about losing! I will consider it going, going, gone shortly. The Waist Shaper does as it claims, shapes the waist and compresses. You probably want someone to help you fasten it in order to get it on quicker. The site has a measurement guide, make sure to use it, and it definitely works! The way the Waist Shaper should work, it does, it is slimming and enhancing. My problem with the Waist Shaper is not the product itself, but the side effect, I can not take the compression-but that is me! If you want to look slimmer and more sleek in clothing, this is definitely worth the purchase!
