Save Big Using This App

You can buy happiness with great stores, but you can also save money and really be happy!  2 things I always have with me when I shop: my cell phone and a way to pay for things! These items service me well in a store. I can always snap a photo of an item I have picked or scan a tag looking for a better price, and I always have a way to pay for the stuff I am looking for. I love to shop, I could shop all day, every day and then do it again! I’d Rather Be Shopping when I am not!

What I don’t like about shopping is the cost. I know name brand clothing and quality pieces can be purchased on sale and at great prices but often stores don’t reflect that pricing because you are ‘trapped’ shopping there and the store knows that! Often when you are in a store, you begin to panic and focus in on one item and when you start thinking that the one item you are looking for can’t be found in the store, suddenly something else makes due and you purchase it because you become focused solely on that store and that is a Shopper’s Mind Trap! I hate that and it happens to me at The Big Red Bullseye a lot!

Again, my cell phone, my biggest helper is always with me and it has become my biggest agent in saving money! If you remember I found a way to earn money as you use an APP and now I have found a way to SAVE Money if you have to spend it! The App I have been working with is RATHER-BE-SHOPPING.

WHAT IS RATHER-BE-SHOPPING?
Rather-Be-Shopping is both a website and a Shopping App that will provide you with the best ONLINE coupons, deals, and free shipping codes that are available! The App shows up on your iPhone as SAVE RBS on a Barcode! I have it categorized under my Save Money!

The App is simple to use and will save you thousands if you use it faithfully! As with any APP that offers savings, if you have it and don’t use it, don’t complain! The power to save $$$  is in your hands, Literally!!!! This idea of having your phone in hand and using it almost like a coupon book is incredible. Redeem in-store coupons directly from your iPhone. Let’s see how the APP works.

The APP functions with 2 ways to shop while you are out, shopping: via Categories and via Stores. Let’s look at Categories First:

CATEGORIES

First you know you are in categories because you selected that as an option, however if you did not know what you picked the manilla file folder lets you know you are  shopping via category.  Touch Categories and then select what you want to shop for: Let’s use Children’s Place

While in Children’s Place – one arm loaded with clothing and the other hand has my iPhone.  I touch my RBS App, touch category and touch babies and kids.  I scroll down to The Children’s Place and I find a coupon to use for 15% off this order. I click on it, present it to the cashier and receive 15% OFF MY ORDER.  It is that easy. I did this while standing in line and saved myself a good deal of money! Love it.

Let ‘s try  another example.

My daughter is with me and is loving this this group of Tees at Aeropostale, I am kind of back and forth about the purchase because I would had hoped Aeropostal would have had a sale.  I think for a minute and realize the power of a sale is right in my hand.  I scroll to my APP, Rather-Be-Shopping and run through categories to clothing, and from clothing  I seek Aeropostale where I find a $10 off for $50 or more! DONE.  My daughter gets the Tees and I save money. Quality clothing with money off that was not being offered in store.

Now in all honesty, the idea of saving money this way is great, and I also know and use the other APPS out there that Check you In as you get into their store and offer you a percentage off, what THE STORE wants you to purchase.  Having the power to see what COUPON CODES or PERCENTAGES are actually out on the web is priceless.  This way, I am purchasing items that I am seeking, not being directed to items! Different Apps do different things.  I would LOVE if this APP began checking me into the store I am in and providing me notice of what I could save, but I bet that is up and coming as the APP inventors are always changing and improving things!

SHOPPING BY STORES

The other option instead of shopping by category is to shop by STORE.  A very easy option. I touch my APP –Stores and it brings me to many popular stores, not all stores. Make sure to let the iPhone App know you are looking for In-Store Coupons and not Online Coupons(done at the bottom of the App screen.

We happened to be shopping in ‘aerie’, can you tell I was with my daughter? My daughter wanted the jeans she had tried on because, “mom they look so good on and they are so comfortable, I just have to have them, there are NO OTHERS like them.” iPhone in hand, ready to save money,  I scrolled down to ‘aerie’.  I saved 20% right then and there because the cashier simply took the bar code and used it against my purchase! Frugal, happy and done in ‘aerie’ we moved on in our shopping event. Have a look!

A side note to know:  While not a huge issue, just worth mentioning, especially if you are new to using the iPhone. …In order to get back into the APP I actually had to hit the HOME key(2x) and go back into the App, because once you commit to the coupon there is no BACK button, this is one thing I would love to see change on the APP.  If you do not commit(meaning go into the coupon there is a BACK button until that point).

HUNGRY

No- really I mean are you hungry? Are you out? Are you tired from shopping?  Rather-Be-Shopping has you covered for HUNGER too! I have covered so many APPS that offer food on the go coupons, but they generally are not part of ONE APP, they are separate, so ONE APP can cover shopping and FOOD, you have to love this!

I came up with Burger King, Carl’s Jr., and Quizno while not a TON of choices, usually one of these locations is around a Mall, or a shopping venue and having a coupon means saving money.  I understand that the Restaurant Coupons are being increased!

THE APP OVERALL

If you are headed out to shop, if you have an iPhone and if you LOVE to save money, you have NO excuses now! This APP boasts money saving functionality both online as well as IN-store, therefore if it is on your phone you need to commit to the process and use it!  This is the holiday season and stores roll out all kinds of promotions, if you did not happen to bring a coupon, have a coupon or even know there were promotions, don’t live under a rock, keep this APP and use it for your OWN promotion.  Simply scroll to the store via category or directly by looking for the store.  While NOT every store or every coupon is in here, the APP Is gaining momentum and has the potential when used to actually save you $1000′s of dollars over the year!  Why not keep the extra money in your pocket with your phone? ! A great way to save on shopping trips.  The Holidays are upon us and EVERY Nickle, Dollar and % off matters so let your iPhone work for YOU!
