REVENGE OF THE VEGETARIAN

Have you heard of the book, Revenge of the Vegetarian by Jim Tilberry?
As a person who does not consume meat, I have think I have heard it all, until I started reading this book.  The book is a lively read, and only 70 pages long.  For a change the Vegetarian gets a few ‘cuts’ into the old meat lover! If you want to know how to deal with meat eaters while you are in social situations, I do believe this will put them on your plate. LOL!

If you want to learn how to speak Vegetarian, the ‘VEG SPEAK’ section will have you in stitches! One of my favorite references was a Lacto Wacko Vegetarian – “one who drinks 20 glasses of milk a day for no particular reason”  That just kind of caught my attention.

An overview of  a Vegetarian Diet including the food pyramid is hysterical and so sadly..true ( I life the life of the Vegetarian).  In another section of the book the top 10 great reasons to become a vegetarian  made me laugh even more as it highlighted so many conversations I have had with so many different people that constantly take jabs at me for not eating what they think is the ‘right foods’ .  Jim Tilberry the author has found a lovely way to put a fun SPIN on being a Vegetarian.

In the middle of the book, I found one of the most hysterical things I have ever read in a book, an interview section. Oh yes, not your normal interview section, but one with Dead Vegetarians, who were speaking from beyond the grave! Interviews with people such as Ben Franklin, Patricia Van Winkle, Thomas Edison and more.  It is their commentary that had me grabbing more of my TOFU POPS so I could continue reading and have a snack!

The final portion of the book brings up Dating and Vegetarianism.  Hold on for a wild ride as Jim Tilberry covers everything from Veggiesex.com to Intimacy with a Meat Eater.  I think you can consider your celery … STALKED> ! (ha ha)

If you are in need of a bit of humor, taking life of Vegetarianism on the lighter side, this book is your read. It is funny, passionate and truly leads in issues that are relevant to vegetarians.  This great read is available on Amazon.Com  for $11.95.
